What is High Frequency?

Also known as the Tesla High Frequency Current; this modality was invented in the late 1800’s by Nikola Tesla for a variety of medical treatments long before the introduction of antibiotics.  Today, however, professional spas can provide safe, painless, therapeutic skin rejuvenation and healing using high frequency in the treatment room.

How Does High Frequency Work?

Using a glass high frequency electrode; a mild and painless electrical current is applied to the face.  A reaction occurs that produces enriched oxygen molecules that create an anti-bacterial environment; a thermal warming effect and increased blood flow allows the skin to push toxins away resulting in detoxification and oxygenation for the skin.

What Does This Do for My Skin?

High frequency promotes increased blood flow (cell renewal and the proliferation of collagen and elastin), oxygenation, detoxification, and the enrichment of skin cells with vital nutrients.  This is an effective add on treatment for a variety of skin concerns/conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Acne Lesions and Conditions of Acne
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Fine Lines/Wrinkles
  • Puffy Eyes and Dark Under Eye Circles
  • Sagging Skin
  • Cellulite
  • Stimulation of Hair Follicles on the Scalp
  • Beard Treatments for men—Antibacterial and Stimulation of Hair Growth

After just one treatment skin is enriched, energized, and noticeably rejuvenated.

Ask your esthetician about adding high frequency to your next treatment!
